Vincent Desclaux is a graphic designer and art director born in Brussels and currently working in Paris. In 2017, he founded an independent design studio (Paris XIᵉ) to develop commissions and team work. The studio handles projects for a various range of clients and purposes, focusing on finding visual and technological answers to the evolutive needs of communication. From brand identity to printed matter and digital interfaces, our expertise is defined by the use of colors and shapes, typography consulting, grids and layouts, graphic systems, logotypes and pictograms, photography and illustration direction, space design and modeling, as well as production
Communication behaviours and visual trends bring our practice to be more responsible and adapted to their audiences. To do so, the studio considers each client at the right scale and environment. Giving a proper budget and production process, where an independant studio can be fully involved in the project. Let say we treat teamwork relations as partnership for greater results. Thereby we constantly build a wider network of coworkers such as interactive designers, type designers, developers, space designers, photographs, illustrators and printers to provide mutual and integrative vision of design.
After first teamworking with french studios Building Paris (with Benoît Santiard), Wanja Ledowski and Atelier Collectif (with Émmanuel Labard), he has collaborated in 2012 with étapes: to redesign the layout and identity of the magazine among the editorial team. For the last four years he has been working with studio Chevalvert as an Art director for editorial design, brand identity, UI and motion design, from cultural to corporate projects. Since 2010 he has worked also as freelance graphic designer for punctual editorial projects. He teaches communication at Éav&t (school of architecture) at Marne-la-Vallée, questioning the constant dialogue between architecture and our daily practice.
