After working as a generalist designer for a few years and being tired of sitting in front of a computer all day, I decided to specialise in lettering and calligraphy. I tend to combine analog and digital methods, and often describe my work as \u2018body language of the written word\u2019. Movement, humor and the human touch are major players in my process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">By now I have carved out my niche in the Antwerp creative scene, with a diverse portfolio ranging from visual identities and books over packaging to art installations and murals. Next to that I teach via workshops and lectures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">To connect with letterheads around the world I founded <a href=\"https:\/\/www.antwerptypesociety.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Antwerp Type Society<\/a>, and I\u2019m one half of the letter-crazy collective <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/analphabetics.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Analphabetics<\/a>.\u00bb \u00a9<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"_wp_link_placeholder\" data-wplink-edit=\"true\">http:\/\/www.studiopieterboels.be\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00abI am a graphic designer, visual artist and calligrapher living and working in Antwerp.
